SAFER FAMILIES
Safer Families is a long term home-based social work service provided to parents or caregivers with a child aged 0 - 5 years.
Our parents or caregivers are referred to us by another organisation such as Plunket, Oranga Tamariki and other community providers. Our focus is on families that will benefit from having a long term relationship with a social worker to help parents and caregivers provide a safe home and promote the well-being of their children.
We understand that making changes is hard and that it helps to have support in the home to create long term changes that build well being for the future. The programme is family/whanau based and child focused.
