Family Help Trust volunteers
Can you help us?
Family Help Trust from time to time relies on volunteers to assist the Fund Raising Committee, run various events, help out in the office, or provide specific skills to address short-term needs.
We are always looking for people who can volunteer occasional help, and who share our passion for the prevention of child abuse in our community. The skills we seek include some of the following:
- Enthusiasm and ability to help organise and run the few fundraising events we mount each year
- Networking skills
- Marketing or graphic design skills
- Familiarity with general office procedures
Our volunteers

Michael Clark, IT professional: Michael was instrumental in establishing the intranet for FHT at the Cashel Street premises (around 2003) and has had overall responsibility for it ever since, along with other aspects of our computer systems. For a living, he runs his own training company, Accelerated Learning Associates Ltd, supplying accelerated learning educational resources, speech recognition and other assistive software. He's married with two daughters and seven grandchildren.

David Armstrong, webmaster: developed and now maintains our website gratis. From 2003 to 2008 he worked in the office for about 2 hours a week helping to develop our client Progress Report forms and subsequently checking them weekly for accuracy; plus general report proofreading and assisting with office organisation tasks. Read an article he wrote, published in The Press in November 2005, about why he volunteers.
Give us an idea of what you would like to do, and how we can get in touch with you, by filling in this form.
